oh, and now that i've thought about it i'm glad there is someone out there who can lead the drum police. that can set the standard that vinnie and the boys can't measure up to.

Not to be startin' notin' here...but since the summer, I've hit a few other drum sites and geez, do those guys flame away...all the time.
Our little battle this summer was SO tame in comparison.

I find the harder you work the more fun it is. It's just like what Dave Weckl suggests on his evolution video's- There's "survival practice" and then theres "advancement of the art practice". I truely doubt that steve smith and dave weckl thought twice about practicing alot, i think it would have been a calling and a form of personal discovery (something virgil donati talks about).
It takes all types in this world and mabuy it doesnt take as much for some people to express there feelings on the drums eg Punk music is fueled by alot of energy as opposed to instrumental solo's.
